What Happens in an Emotional Body Wisdom Session?

1. How do I know if an Emotional Body Wisdom session is for me?

If you are feeling limitations or feeling stuck. If you are experiencing recurring emotional patterns or physical pain. If you are struggling with your goals and desires. If you feel you need to be witnessed. If you feel heavy, dense or weighed down. If you feel confused, lack direction or need clarity. If you are struggling with self doubt, pessimism or hopelessness.

If you need help processing difficult experiences. All of the above sensations and struggles affect the emotional body and need witness and understanding to be integrated and transmuted.

In an Emotional Body Wisdom session I provide a grounded container and tools which can help you integrate and shift these difficulties into a more aligned state, thus changing your day to day experience.

2. What can I expect in an Emotional Body Wisdom session?

A session is 60-90 minutes long. We begin with a grounding meditation and from there I guide you to a lying down position. We begin to tap into the body’s innate wisdom and what the emotional body is communicating. We find the source of the struggle, stuck energy or limiting belief and then I guide you with tools to help release and transform these limitations.

We may then move to other body postures or some light movement to help integrate this experience. We close with some conversation around the experience.

3. How can I prepare for an Emotional Body Wisdom session?

A session is 60-90 minutes long. It is best held in a private space, however, if there are people or children around it is important that you feel comfortable enough to go through a deep process in their presence. You will need a yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on, and a glass of water to hydrate.

For a zoom call, your camera setup must allow for me to see your entire body and head when you are lying down. Once you are complete, it is helpful to have a journal nearby so that you can record key points about your experience.

4. How do I integrate my experience?

Your body and subconscious mind have gone through a deep, transformative process. It is important that you take care and nourish yourself as much as possible in the next 24 hours. 

  1. Drink water
  2. Eat nourishing foods 
  3. Keep things simple and do less.
  4. If possible, spend some time in nature. 
  5. Journal 
  6. Take some rest. You have permission to do nothing!

We may not always have these windows of time to sit with our experience, or the capacity to receive so much nourishment, however, becoming aware of the need for it, and coming into the awareness that yes, we have permission to do so, is step one when it comes to integration.

I will be checking in on you the following day to further support you and your  experience.

5. What are some things I can expect to feel after an Emotional Body Wisdom session?

You may feel lighter, like a weight has been lifted. You may feel more clarity and direction. You may feel less tension, a release, more flow and alignment in your own body. Physical pain and tension may no longer persist. You may feel more forgiveness, compassion and understanding towards yourself.

You may feel increased vitality, more balance and confidence. You may feel more open, more connection, more warmth and possibility. You may no longer be triggered by the same things or the triggers will be less charged. In the days following your session, what you desire may flow to you more easily.
